Family Visits

A visit to The Regal is a perfect day out for families, we hope the following information will help you to plan your visit.

Booster seats are available free of charge from the foyer, these are offered on a first come first served basis and we ask that these are returned after you are finishing using them, thank you.

Baby changing facilities are available in both of our accessible toilets, one to the side of the foyer and one behind the café bar.

Please only bring buggies/prams into the venue if absolutely necessary as space within the venue is limited. If bringing a buggy/pram, please fold up where possible and note that they are left at the owner’s risk.

The Regal is breastfeeding friendly, you are welcome to feed throughout the venue, including our auditoriums and Café Bar.

Ticket Info

Please check individual films for BBFC age ratings, details of what the ratings mean can be found on our FAQs webpage.

A discounted family ticket is available on all film screenings. These tickets admit 2 adults and 2 children or 1 adult and 3 children. If coming in a group larger than 4, additional individual tickets may be purchased for the other members of your party.

Children under the age of 3 may attend film screenings for free if seated on a parent or guardian’s lap. Please note, the child will not have their own seat unless this is paid for with a child ticket.

Our Pocket Money Movies screenings make a family trip to the cinema even more accessible to all with tickets costing just £2 per person. These screenings feature family favourite films and take place on Saturday and Sunday mornings and throughout the school holidays. Look out for the "PMM" tag on film times on our "What's On" page to find out what's showing!

At the box office you'll find our kids combo deal - a small fizzy drink (sugar free options available) and a small sweet or salted popcorn for just £3. We also have slushies from Snow Shock available. Our Cafe Bar - The 1936 - has children's lunch boxes containing a sandwich, a piece of fruit, a blackcurrant fruit shoot and some sweet or salted popcorn for £5. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options are available.

Baby Friendly Screenings

Our Baby Friendly screenings are intended to give new parents, guardians, carers and family members time to relax and watch a new release film with their newborn. The screenings are designed with babies in mind, with sound lowered and lights dimmed. Best of all, you will be in a screen with people in a similar situation, so there is no need to worry if baby cries or fusses. You are also welcome to get up and walk around as much as you need to during the screening. Although these screenings are designed with parents and babies in mind, all are welcome to attend these screenings with the understanding of the above and the environment we are trying to create for families.
